Information is the Key
“In cosmetic plastic surgery, good information is essential to making a good informed decision. My goal at every consultation is to first learn exactly what it is that concerns you about your appearance. It takes time for me to get to know you and understand your needs. Only then can I thoughtfully consider your unique situation and be able to offer options specific to your goals.
It is my goal that you leave your first consultation educated about your options
and feeling confident that you have the information needed to empower you to make the right decision for you. Sometimes you will choose surgery, sometimes you will not, and sometimes you will choose to think about it and come back to talk some more and ask questions. You must not feel rushed into a decision. My goal is your complete satisfaction, and we can only achieve that when we are both comfortable having enough information to make the right decision for you.”
A Passion for Excellence
My greatest joy in plastic surgery is seeing a patient after surgery and sharing their excitement from a great result. I am fortunate to have chosen a career which blends my technical and scientific strengths with my artistic passion and allows me to help people in profound ways. My commitment to excellence drives me to provide the best customized result possible for each patient.”

"MEN AND THEIR CHAIRS" - Pink Magazine, June 2009
What motivates you?
Excellence. I am always interested in people who excel in their activies, whether work, sports, music, art, etc. I respect the passion and dedication demonstrated by people who master anything.
What future accomplishment do you hope to achieve?
I look forward to continuing to grow my practice at Weniger Plastic Surgery, but also would like to streamline my life enough to spend more time with my family. Additionally, I hope to slow the rotation of the earth so that I can have more time each day…
What are your words of wisdom , life’s motto, or words to live by?
Anything worth doing is worth doing well. So, as long as you passionately pursue what you love, the rest should be simple…(right?)
What is something about you that would surprise people?
I’m very thrifty.
What’s the best thing about your chair?
It is where I help people to feel better about themselves.
Where did you get your chair/Does your chair have a history?
My exam chairs came as the result of 10 years of medical training after college, which was tough but worth it. As the reward, my chair is essentially where I get to be Santa Claus every day for many people of all ages.
What would your chair say about you if it could talk?
It would tell me to go home and play with my kids and wife, and to spend less time with it.
If you could tell the world anything, what would it be?
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Oh yeah, and also, “Go Irish!” |

"A CAMPFIRE OF MEMORIES" - Hilton Head Monthly, June 2009
BOB ENGLER, OWNER OF Budget Blinds in Bluffton, and Fred Weniger, a plastic surgeon, found excitement much closer to home when they took their kids on an overnight camping trip to Hampton Lake, a Reed Development community in greater Bluffton known for its diverse amenities.
The fathers-kids group ventured to Hampton Lake’s Outpost Campsite, which is located on an island in the middle of the community’s famous lake. The area is perfectly poised for storytelling and cowboy cooking with a dock, picnic tables and rustic stone cook pit surrounded by benches. After a short boat ride to the Outpost, visitors are invited to pitch their tents under the stars and to listen to the mysterious noises that fill a Southern night.

During their most recent laidback excursion to Hampton Lake, Engler, Weniger and their young children, aged 3 to 5, felt the excitement mount as sleeping bags were rolled out and a campfire was kindled to roast their marshmallows. While the youngsters sipped their juice boxes and the dads enjoyed a couple of beers, the kids were convinced they heard a bear. For the record, it was a raccoon rummaging through their potato chip bag.
“I guess as a dad, you spend so much time working, you don’t want to end up feeling like you’re missing all the fun stuff” said Engler, who frequently takes his family to enjoy Hampton Lake’s swimming pool, spa, fitness center, golf course and, not to mention, lake for boating and fishing. “We just wanted to do something different with them, and they’re dying to do it again.”
