Testimonials
Dr. Fred Weniger truly deserves this testimony of accolades. I have been estatic over the final results of my cosmetic procedure. After a length of time spent on due diligence, I believe I chose the "cream of the crop" of plastic surgeons here in the Lowcountry. Professional, artistic, and brilliant are just a few of the attributes that come to mind. Read More Plastic Surgeon Testimonials >

“Reflections on Radiesse”
Over the last year, we have been extremely impressed with the results we have seen with Radiesse injections. Radiesse is an injectable filler, but unlike Restylane or Juvederm, it is best when used to add volume to the face rather than to fill individual wrinkles. Radiesse is most often used to camouflage jowls and to fill nasolabial folds (“parentheses lines”). Radiesse is most impressive when used to add volume to the upper cheeks, giving a more natural blend between the lower eyelid and the cheek, and giving the appearance of a cheek lift. The best thing about Radiesse is that it lasts from 1 to 1 ½ years, and is therefore one of the most cost-effective treatments offered. Please give the office a call at 843-757-0123 to schedule an appointment to see if Radiesse is right for you.
What does "Board-Certified" mean?
Patients are often confused and dismayed by the terminology they see in advertisements. In fact, many patients will argue that their doctor is a board certified plastic surgeon, when that is not the case. Furthermore, I have seen patients who are very angry AFTER surgery, when they learned that their doctor was not what he said. more>
Breast Cancer - Diagnosis, Treatment, and Reconstruction
Breast Cancer is a reality that hit home for me this year. After reconstructing mastectomy defects as part of my career as a plastic surgeon for the last several years, I was shocked to learn that my own mom had been diagnosed with breast cancer. My mom still is not done with here chemotherapy and has yet to start her radiation therapy treatments. more>
Breast Reconstruction for Prophylactic Mastectomy
Mastectomy patients can be left with physical defects that can be difficult to accept. In fact, it is known that mastectomy can lead to psychological problems such as depression, loss of sexual interest, a negative body image and loss of femininity, increased fear of cancer recurrence, and self-consciousness even in clothing. Breast reconstruction lessens these emotional burdens and allows the patient to focus on her success and her recovery. more>
